Our Story
Hello! We are Manny, Britt, Cricket & Weezy and we are Blind Cat Beer Co.
BCBC is a small batch brewery in Pittston PA providing an inclusive space for the community to share their stories over responsibly brewed, high quality craft beer.
Manny has been brewing professionally since 2016, starting out as a production intern at the Bronx Brewery in NYC and working his way up to leading their production team of 7 people. Britt owns and operates Little Wild Refillery in downtown Scranton, a zero-waste store focusing on reducing your everyday single-use plastic waste.
The BCBC brewery and taproom will be located at 13 Kennedy St in the heart of Pittston, accessible from Main Street, just a stone's throw from the annual Pittston Tomato Festival, and among all of the great new small businesses Main St has to offer.
BCBC will focus on responsible brewing which includes sourcing local Pennsylvania farm-grown ingredients, sustainable packaging, limiting waste, upcycling furniture, and more. From limiting and recapturing water and chemicals, to the way we will dispose of our production waste, including supplying farmers with spent ingredients for animal feed and compost, it's all built around protecting our planet.
Blind Cat Beer Co gets it's name from our two blind cats, Cricket & Weezy. Special needs cats and dogs often wait four times longer than average to be adopted and we hope the brewery will serve as a reminder that these pets deserve a good home too. Because we care deeply for our planet and the animals we share it with, BCBC will make a quarterly donation to a different local animal rescue with the purchase of each flagship beer (Cricket Pilsner).
